Leaning On Religious Justification To Kill A Child

The Murdered Bella Bond
The horrific murder of 'Baby Doe'—now known to be Bella Bond—in Massachusetts brings to light the corrosive nature of religion. The boyfriend of Bella's mother—claiming that the 2 1/2 year old was "possessed by demons"—brutally assaulted the toddler until she died. How much longer will the human race be shackled by the idiocy of religion—which warps minds to the degree that they would kill a defenseless child for a mythical spiritual possession? The prosecutor in the case said that the mother went into the room and found her boyfriend standing over the child's body—with Bella's face swollen and gray. She told police that the boyfriend said it was Bella's time to die. Bella's body was kept in a refrigerator before being weighted down and dumped into Boston Harbor. Let's get a few things straight: There are no demons. There is no God. And there are no religious-based excuses for killing a child. Period.
